Ce jeudi 22 mai 2025, la Ville de Charleroi<\/a> hisse le drapeau palestinien. Ce geste symbolique, que la Plateforme Charleroi-Palestine r\u00e9clamait depuis des ann\u00e9es, repr\u00e9sente un signal fort de solidarit\u00e9 avec le peuple palestinien et un appel \u00e0 stopper le g\u00e9nocide en cours \u00e0 Gaza.<\/p>\n

Nous saluons cette d\u00e9cision, fruit de longues mobilisations et interpellations citoyennes. Mais nous le disons clairement : ce symbole, aussi fort soit-il, ne peut suffire \u00e0 lui seul. La Ville de Charleroi doit aller plus loin et traduire cette solidarit\u00e9 en actes concrets.<\/p>\n

En mars dernier, nous avons d\u00e9nonc\u00e9 la venue pr\u00e9vue \u00e0 Charleroi de Be\u2019er Sheva<\/a>, ville isra\u00e9lienne, centre administratif et p\u00e9nitentiaire o\u00f9 sont enferm\u00e9\u00b7es et tortur\u00e9\u00b7es des Palestinien\u00b7nes, rouage de la machine coloniale.<\/p>\n

Dans le pass\u00e9, nous avons aussi point\u00e9 du doigt les contrats de la Ville avec des entreprises isra\u00e9liennes, notamment dans le secteur de la vid\u00e9osurveillance. Ces partenariats posent question et doivent \u00eatre r\u00e9examin\u00e9s \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re du droit international.<\/p>\n

Hisser le drapeau palestinien, c\u2019est un pas. Mais le respect des droits humains et l\u2019engagement pour la justice exigent bien davantage : une rupture claire avec les complicit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques et institutionnelles qui nourrissent l\u2019impunit\u00e9 isra\u00e9lienne.<\/p>\n

Nous appelons la Ville \u00e0 poursuivre sur cette voie. Ce geste attendu depuis longtemps par tant de citoyen\u00b7nes est un signe encourageant : celui d\u2019une conscience politique qui s\u2019\u00e9veille et d\u2019un espoir qui rena\u00eet.<\/p>\n
